Tell you what, I'm gonna give it to ya straight: I was kinda looking for a place that I could maybe, I don't know, archive my stuff, right? My drawings, my future projects, maybe even talk a little about myself since I actually do that, like, NEVER in the internet. So, since Twitter sucks balls, I decided why not do a website, right? When I was a kid they used to advertise for a service called "Wix" where you could host your own personal website for free and even though my website ended up pretty damn bad I thought:
So here we fucking are, eh? I must admit that when websites like MySpace or Geocities were around I was far too young to understand what was going on in my screen, let alone remember any information about it, so when looking at other websites hosted here in Neocities I feel a little bit out of place as I don't have much nostalgia for these designs as many others do. That being said, I still enjoy the asthetic very much on a personal level and there's nothing wrong with that, is there? Plus it's a great excercise in creativity so there's that.
It's been actually pretty fun learning how to code HTML and CSS and thankfully there's a LOT of reasources nowadays for you to learn (videos like andrue's and magoonka's helped me out a lot so shoutout to those guys), so I guess it's been sailing pretty damn smoothly so far. As I've said before I've been taking a lot of inspirations from the websites hosted here and that helped me get acquainted with a lot of the culture and a lot of the concepts that make this place what it it like "webrings" and "shrines".
I mean, when I started out I was pretty fucking pissed off trying to learn HTML and all that crap because I don't really have the best history with coding languages, so I felt very frustrated but I've been slowly warming up to it and it feels pretty damn good.
Hopefully more to come for this lil ol' website of mine, I've been enjoying the experience so far so I'm definitely not stopping anytime soon.
